The thing that’s missing in music that was present is the sense of ownership. Buying a tape or a cd, you had a sense of “yeah this is my shit” Even if someone gave you their maxell tape that they dubbed you still had to take care of the tape. Not like a mp3 where its just there, you can’t hold the mp3. You don’t have to take a screwdriver and open up a mp3 because it got fuq’d up in the tape deck and you REALLY need to hear that song.
In the cassette days there would be two questions you heard when someone copped a new album. You like that shit? and what you think is better Side B or Side A.
In my experiences it always seems like Side A is better because people usually try to push the best joints in the beginning. I’m the type to treat the mixtape organically, the Side A was more uptempo with the flow and the beats and I took it slow and had more laid back topics during the second half until I reached UFOA with a killer flow IMO lol.

Yo, man, this song is just so me. Those that actually have met me in person and hang out w/ me [coughs SAIS] know what kind of guy I am. I’m really corny, honesty. Well, the song made me seem like a brilliant bloke, that’s because I really am. Heh
The thing is, I’m really a slacker as far as college goes, I would do all my big assignments like last minute. I would have a 10 page paper due and do it like the day before and get an 85 on it… I slid my way through college, seriously.
Okay, now to beat down this song. I wrote the song when I was at this crappy tech job I use to have but I won’t name drop. I was just listening to a beat cd I had, and a few of the old guys at my job were joking about how uncool I am (they BETTER had be joking). So, I just thought about what I do on a daily basis and I wrote a song about it. I use to sit in the front of the class and I would day dream for about 70% of class the other 30% was between staring at the pretty girls boobs or pretending I was listening to the teacher. Yet none of the girls ever paid me attention so titty staring was easy to do. I was the best student in class… believe it or not. The only thing that’s not true about the song is the glasses part “I’m the one w/ the square glasses,” I don’t wear glasses for seeing at all. I was told that I look like I wear glasses a lot, you know how some people just tell you random gay things like that. I am a video game addict Street Fighter, Tekken (self-proclaimed champ), Zelda, God of War (Series) and a whole lot of other stuff. I don’t like to say uncool though, because being uncool is such a cool thing to be. I’m just not as complex as some may think, I’m just in outer space a lot. When I talk or tell you a story I can just picture it in my big ol head. When I do music, I just tell what I’ve seen and lived. You can’t lie to the world about who you are, because one of these days someone will discover the truth. The fun thing about the telling the truth is, you CAN embellish a tad bit. Hey, they do it in movies all the time… sue me.
