I have this thing where I can listen to myself all day, because I try to make shit that I would like to enjoy listening to and this is one of my best examples.
This one came together perfectly from the beginning Pat pat pat pat before the verse to the prrrrrah at the end. These are one of the ones on the OA where I’m like. NAILED ! lol. I felt as if i said everything i wanted to say in EXACTTLY the way I wanted to.
THe Wu-tang would describe this as “spitting a different chamber” cuz this shit really marked the change of my rhyme structure and flow, with incorporating triplets quadruples and quintiple rhyme schemes.

For the intro I had a verse prepared over some instrumental, but decided to just put the sample of the Crazy instrumental mixed with hand picked capcom vs. snk 2 sounds taken from me turning down the music and performing all the moves on my PS2 lol… that I used in the first rapped track off the mixtape callled………

Basically the heart of this is to set up the tape as a vacation. A break from the routine hip hop that seems in abundance these days..

Might as well explain the reason I named it OverAchiever. It was because I felt that I didn’t have to bother trying to come up with different rhyme schemes such as.

BUT I DID ANYWAY even if simple A B A B rhyme schemes are being accepted easily. Why? because I like to hear a rapper trying to give a little effort into the way they craft their rhymes..

You could also hear the Original Street Fighter countries being yelled out and the airplane noise from when you went to each country. Now I know what you’re thinking. “Oh, shit Sais it’s like you got a little running theme going eh?” I’m thinking…. “yeah i guess”
